A Microsoft Magyarország és az evosoft Hungary Kft. negyedik alkalommal hirdeti meg a Kódpárbaj AntMe! programozási versenyt. A feladat érdekes, a fődíj pedig csábító, a győztes ugyanis egy Windows Phone 7 Mango telefont vihet haza az eredményhirdetés után. Aki szeretné legyőzni az előző nyertes Skynetet, most megteheti!
A versenyzőknek a májusban megrendezett Kódpárbaj 3-hoz hasonlóan most is egy képzeletbeli mezőn élő hangyaboly tagjainak viselkedését kell leprogramozniuk. A hangyák élelemgyűjtéssel, valamint bogarak és rivális hangyabolyok tagjainak legyőzésével gyűjthetnek pontokat. A játékot várhatóan több fordulóban rendezik meg, melyek legjobbjai egy „bajnokok ligája” jellegű döntőben mérhetik össze képességeiket. Az előző versenyt idén májusban a Skynet nevű csapat nyerte meg, így nem volt kérdés, hogy a mostani verseny fő kihívása a „Skynet uralmának” megdöntése.
A játékkal a Microsoft Magyarország és az evosoft Hungary Kft. célja a szórakoztatás mellett az, hogy minél több jelenlegi, vagy potenciális fejlesztővel ismertessék és szerettessék meg a C# programnyelvet és a Visual Studio fejlesztési környezetet. A játékosok számára ezért a szervezők a játékot bemutató részletes tananyag mellett egy előre definiált „sablon-hangyabolyt”, teljes szimulációs környezetet és C# tankönyvet is biztosítanak. Ezek segítségével már minimális programozási ismeretekkel is létrehozhatók tökéletesen működő hangya-kolóniák, így a versenyzők a szoftveres nehézségek leküzdése helyett a legjobb stratégiák, és az azokat megvalósító algoritmusok kidolgozására összpontosíthatják energiáikat.
