ATI Radeon HD 5670 – Is DirectX 11 really cheaply? (english version) 2010-03-08 8 2217
We have only three more title, and fun is over! Let’s leave the field and fly with HAWX.
We can do that, but we have to compromise. HAWX can run with DirectX 10.1 mode, but GeForces stamps Radeons into land. In the house competition 5770 and 4870 able to stand or deal, the others are in edge or underneath. Hard circumstances wage 5670 too, it was not able to get 20 FPS up, Formula drop one FPS plus, so there is no accelerate with the new driver.
Battleforge is not a good game for us, but capable to use some DirectX 11 skills, so it is a great test application for new Radeons. We can forget quickly more power by the new driver, HD 5670 works well, it is close to HD 4850 and HD 4770, it dops behind 4850 by 2 FPS in higher resolution.
Last item of our review is Batman again, of course without PhysX. Everything turned on and set maximum, but the old engine is not mission impossible for competitors, but antialising was not setting. Main point is 5670 does not disgraces itself, not come off from 4770, hangs power in 1680×1050 resolution, even it is enough for the last place, but we must declare that is the cheapest and most spcefically weak competitor. New Catalyst did not mean anything at Batman.
We summarize our impressions about Radeon HD 5670, the smallest DirectX 11 compatible card, and of course about ASUS EAH5750 Formula on the following and last page.
